They are definitely firing on all cylinders on this performance. But really, what else would you expect at this point from this all-star unit. This got me really pumped up for their new album, that will be here tomorrow (alongside Matana's new chapter in her Coin Coin series). Both should make for good listening this weekend:)

melmoth-777 Definitely one of the most interesting acts on the current jazz scene (like many artists of the International Anthem label btw). At the cross-road of free-jazz and spoken-word, this particular set is simply outstanding. That 90 minutes long improvisation sounds like the impossible jam session between John Coltrane (One Down, One Up era) and Rage Against The Machine !
